Blogging Ain’t Easy | 5 Tips For Speeding Up Your Content Creation

Justin Babcock • Jul 05, 2021

There is no better feeling than when an idea pops into your head, the creative juices flow, and your content is created and posted before you know it. You’ve also probably suffered from the opposite… staring at a blank screen thinking, what am I going to write about today?

Well, here are a few of our favorite go-to tricks to turn those blank screens into ideas, so you can get back to the rest of your day.

Tip 1: Keep a log of ideas

Keeping a log is by far the best way to keep content organized and plentiful. As you have ideas throughout the week, write them down in the same place. If you have a team of employees, take 30 minutes to brainstorm some content ideas. Talk to a friend, partner, kids, or anyone who will listen. Ask them, “what would you want to know about my service or product.”

Collaboration and documentation are key to never getting stuck. In fact, this article came from our content log… it beat out, social media sites that didn’t work out. Maybe we chose the wrong topic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Tip 2: Writing apps, they got software for that?

Writing apps are starting to come a long way. Now, they still can’t do it for you, but they can help you get unstuck. From content idea generators to AI, software might be just what you need to jumpstart your content game. Here are a few of our favorites

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Writing Apps

• Snazzy AI -

Idea Generators

Tip 3: Hire a coach

This one is self-serving, so we will keep it brief. A coach can help you create a routine, brainstorm ideas, teach you writing formulas, and help you create a style that works for you. That’s what we do. We help you build a marketing system that works for you, so you are never stuck. Schedule a free first-time season,  and we can help you implement some of these content creation strategies.

Tip 4: Hire a freelancer

Much like finding a driver on Uber. You can find a writer on an app. Check out Writer’s Access,

Tip 5: Use a writing formula

Starting with a writing formula is another great way to focus your thoughts and start creating your content. Check out these tried and true writing formulas that every copywriter uses to influence, persuade, and engage:

The real trick to writing is practice. So, keep writing, keep posting, and keep asking yourself, “how can I keep improving what I’m doing.”

And remember, when you take control of your marketing, you take control of your business.

In the ever-evolving digital landscape, establishing an online presence is paramount for every business. A well-structured and designed website can greatly enhance your brand's visibility and credibility. However, the process of creating a website can be daunting, especially when confronted with decisions like the cost of hiring a designer, how to find a suitable one, or opting for a do-it-yourself (DIY) approach using website builders like Wix or Squarespace. Making an informed choice can be challenging, but it's not impossible. Figuring Out Your Budget and Time: The Classic Decision Building a website involves an investment of both time and money. Hiring a designer can cost between $100 to $200 per website page, whereas setting up a website yourself might consume around 4 hours per page. It's a classic time or money conundrum that forces you to reassess your priorities. Do you have the design skills to build a website yourself? If not, using DIY applications may extend the time it takes for you to establish your online presence. However, if your budget is tight, investing your time into learning and implementing the process might be a viable option. DIY Website Builders: A Blessing or a Curse? Website builders like Wix, Squarespace, and WordPress have made website creation accessible to everyone, regardless of technical expertise. But are they always the best choice? Wix Pros: Wix offers an intuitive drag-and-drop interface and a variety of templates, which make it easy for beginners to create a website. It also provides advanced features for more seasoned users. Cons: The flexibility of Wix can also be its downfall, as the wide range of options can be overwhelming. Its SEO capabilities have been criticized, and the free plan comes with ads. Squarespace Pros: Squarespace is known for its sleek, professional design templates. It offers comprehensive features and excellent customer support. Cons: Squarespace's pricing is slightly higher compared to other builders, and the platform can be less intuitive for first-time users. WordPress Pros: WordPress offers incredible flexibility and control, with thousands of themes and plugins. It's a great choice for blogs due to its strong content management system. Cons: WordPress has a steeper learning curve compared to other builders, and you may need to handle updates and security measures manually.
