Simply Faces Skin Care: a 20-page site, admin portal and Content Studio

Simply Faces Skin Care is the Fresno studio of Jeannie Burkhart, a master aesthetician in practice since 1997. Our esthetician website design gave her a dark luxe, 20-page site with Vagaro booking on every page, followed by an admin portal for her leads and a Content Studio for her marketing.

About Simply Faces

Jeannie Burkhart is a master aesthetician in Fresno, in practice since 1997, and runs Simply Faces Skin Care as a solo studio. She is oncology and acne certified, and her services run from facials, acne care and oncology facials to dermaplaning, waxing, lash and brow tinting and makeup, with booking through Vagaro. This esthetician website design had to make each of those services easy to find in Fresno search and easy to book.

The challenge

Why They Came to Us

Her goal for the site was simple: get visitors to book an appointment on Vagaro. The site also had to live up to her tagline, "Healthy Skin. Elevated Beauty."

  • A long, specialized menu, from acne care and oncology facials to waxing, tinting and makeup, where each service needed its own page to show up in Fresno searches.
  • Bookings finish on Vagaro, off the website, so the site had to hand people off cleanly and still show her which pages and buttons send people to book.
  • Her domain and DNS live at Wix, where admin and collaborator roles cannot change DNS records.
  • Specialty topics like acne needed accurate copy that stays within esthetician scope, with no invented clinical claims.
The plan

What We Proposed

We started with options instead of a finished site: three homepage directions to react to, then a full build in the one she chose.

  • Three homepage designs to choose from, with her pick, Option 3, built out as the full site.
  • A page for each treatment, written for local search, with Vagaro booking on every page.
  • A Content Studio plan with five content pillars and a cadence of three social posts a week, two blog posts and one email a month.
The build

What We Built

Website

A 20-page site in a dark luxe design, chosen from three homepage directions and launched June 19, 2026.

  • Three homepage directions delivered May 21, 2026. She chose Option 3, and our internal design review had to pass the full build before she saw it.
  • Self-hosted fonts and a large drop-down menu, with the mobile Services menu grouped into Facials & Skin, Specialized Care and Beauty Services.
  • Vagaro booking buttons on every page, a booking bubble, Text to Book buttons and tap-to-call.
  • Per-page social sharing images and custom service icons.
  • 28 pages in the sitemap by October 2026, with new treatment hubs and blog posts added since launch.

Local SEO and tracking

Treatment pages and hubs written for Fresno searches, with the actions that matter counted in GA4.

  • 10 treatment pages at launch, with FAQ schema added to all 10 in the July 2026 SEO audit.
  • Lash and brow tinting split into two pages in September 2026, with the old combined page redirected to keep its search history.
  • An Acne Treatment Fresno guide page linked to a separate Acne Facials page, plus Anti-Wrinkle Face Care and Facials in Fresno hub pages.
  • GA4 and Google Tag Manager plus the Meta Pixel with Advanced Matching, with cookie consent handled by region.
  • Booking clicks, phone taps, texts, emails and form leads registered as GA4 key events.

Free Acne Assessment and Skin Read quiz

Two interactive tools that start a conversation before the first appointment.

  • A 5-step Free Acne Assessment on the acne treatment page with acne-type education, up to 3 optional photos, goals and contact details (September 2026).
  • reCAPTCHA protection and traffic source attribution on every assessment.
  • The Skin Read, a six-question quiz on the Facials page (October 2026).

Admin portal

A private back office on her own admin subdomain where her web leads land in one place.

  • Inbox, leads pipeline, and a Spam and Blocked tab so filtered submissions are never invisible.
  • A dashboard card counting Vagaro booking clicks, and a Google review board (October 2026).
  • A Blog page with two ways to post, an AI blog writer or a simple post form, plus a direct link into her Content Studio.
  • Themed in her brand mauve.

Content Studio

Her marketing portal, live August 9, 2026, and the second Content Studio WES set up for a client.

  • Five content pillars: Skin Health Education, Treatments & Results, Oncology & Sensitive Skin, Meet Jeannie and Central Valley Seasons.
  • A planned cadence of three social posts a week, two blog posts and one email a month.
  • Studio-written local posts on her blog.
  • Our setup guide for every new Content Studio was written from this build.
Problem solving

How We Solved the Hard Parts

  1. DNS only the owner's account can change

Her domain and DNS live at Wix, where admin and collaborator roles do not grant DNS access. We made the changes through her own Wix account to point the site, admin portal and Content Studio, so the domain never had to move.

  2. Bookings finish on Vagaro, out of view

We registered booking clicks, calls, texts, emails and form leads as GA4 key events and added a Vagaro booking clicks card to her admin dashboard. She can see what the site drives even though the appointment itself is made on Vagaro.

  3. Specialty copy with no room for guesswork

We wrote the acne pages conservatively until Jeannie returned a questionnaire, then rebuilt both acne pages from her own answers. Home care copy names only the four product lines on her Products page, and every page stays within esthetician scope.

  4. A long service list on a small screen

The mobile Services menu had become one long list of about 12 items, so we grouped it into Facials & Skin, Specialized Care and Beauty Services to match the desktop menu.

Results

The Results So Far

The clearest measured result is the WES SEO audit score: 56 to 87 out of 100 after 35 same-day fixes across all 20 pages, with no critical issues left. Since then the site has kept growing, with new treatment hubs, the Free Acne Assessment and the Skin Read quiz.

Simply Faces is a one-provider studio, so we watch actions rather than traffic. Booking clicks, calls, texts, emails and form leads are GA4 key events, assessment requests land in her admin inbox, and Vagaro booking clicks show on her dashboard. Our recurring audits also track how her acne and facials pages move in Fresno search.

The score comes from our 100-point WES SEO audit of the live site, run before and after same-day fixes on July 19, 2026; build counts come from the site's git history and sitemap.

Questions

Questions About This Project

Can my website book appointments through Vagaro?

Yes. Simply Faces has Vagaro booking buttons on every page, a booking bubble, Text to Book buttons and tap-to-call. Booking clicks are tracked in GA4 and counted on her admin dashboard.

Do I have to move my domain away from Wix?

No. Her domain and DNS stayed at Wix. Because Wix does not let collaborators edit DNS, we pointed the site, admin portal and Content Studio through her own Wix account.

How long does an esthetician website take?

Simply Faces went live on June 19, 2026, 29 days after we delivered three homepage directions. The site has kept growing since, with new treatment hubs and interactive tools.
