Women-owned skin studio for age management and acne correction | Phoenix, AZ

Amazing Face Spa: a moody, editorial spa website live in 36 days

Amazing Face Spa is a women-owned, single-provider skin studio in Phoenix, focused on age management and acne correction for men and women. Our spa website design gave owner Nella three homepage directions, then built the one she chose into a 20-page site with her real Vagaro pricing and her own reels.

About Amazing Face Spa

Nella runs Amazing Face Spa as a one-room, one-aesthetician studio in Phoenix, and her tagline says it plainly: "Skin health, Not Vanity." She offers facials, chemical peels, hydrodermabrasion, microcurrent and LED, dermaplaning, brows and lashes, with booking on Vagaro. This spa website design had to feel like her studio: earthy, soft and boutique, not clinical.

The challenge

Why They Came to Us

Nella had a domain but nothing live on it. Booking on Vagaro was the main goal, with a call or a text as the backup.

  • Nothing was live at amazingfacespa.com, so the website and its tracking started from zero.
  • Her brief was bohemian and soft: earthy, elegant and casual, explicitly not clinical, with a hero video on the home page. For mood she pointed to Simply Faces Skin Care, another site we built.
  • Almost every video she sent carried burned-in captions or app watermarks, and one photo in her files was a watermarked stock preview.
  • Her brand pink measures just 1.56:1 contrast, too faint for text or buttons.
  • Prices, membership perks and the referral offer had to match her real menu and what Vagaro can actually do.
The plan

What We Proposed

We agreed on three homepage directions first, then a full site in the one she picked, with WES drafting the copy.

  • Three mockup directions with a chooser page: Glow, Moody & Editorial, and Blend.
  • A services hub linking to eight service pages, Vagaro booking as the main action, and call and text as backups.
  • A blog ready to publish at launch, with Google Tag Manager and GA4 set up by WES.
The build

What We Built

Homepage directions

Three full homepage mockups and a chooser page, delivered September 8, 2026, twelve days after kickoff.

  • Directions named Glow, Moody & Editorial, and Blend.
  • The palette was rebuilt from Nella's own watercolor business card.
  • Nella chose Moody & Editorial on September 11, 2026.

Website

A 20-page site in the Moody & Editorial direction, launched October 2, 2026.

  • Home, about, a services hub with 8 service pages, membership, products, reviews, a blog with 3 posts, contact and privacy.
  • The service page design has a photo header that settles into view, quick facts, an editorial photo band, a before and after gallery, click-to-play reels, and her real Vagaro prices with a See pricing and book button.
  • Membership tiers with her exact perks, and her real Google reviews pulled through the Places API (5.0 stars from 55 reviews at build time).
  • A new-client pop-up for the Introductory Facial.
  • Built for inline editing in My AI Editor, with Nella invited to her own login at launch.

Her media library

Her Instagram and videos turned into media the site can actually use.

  • Her full Instagram grid saved, all 409 posts.
  • 26 of her reels hosted on WES's Cloudflare Stream and playing on click on her service pages.
  • Short silent loops cut from her reels with the burned-in captions cropped off, and the clean spa-room video she sent as the home page hero.

Launch and first SEO audit

A launch with tracking proven by a real booking click, then an SEO pass in the first week.

  • amazingfacespa.com set as the main address, with www and the staging address redirecting to it.
  • Dedicated GA4 and Google Tag Manager accounts with GA4 on Phoenix time, Search Console verified and the sitemap submitted.
  • A real booking click checked in GA4 before we called tracking done.
  • SEO fixes on October 9, 2026: social sharing tags on all 22 pages, image dimensions, 9 titles and 16 descriptions brought into range, an llms.txt file for AI search tools, and heading fixes.
Problem solving

How We Solved the Hard Parts

  1. Social videos full of captions and watermarks

Almost every clip she sent had burned-in captions or app watermarks. We cut short silent loops from her reels and cropped the captions off them and off three portraits, used the clean spa-room video she sent as the home page hero, and kept a watermarked stock preview off the site.

  2. A brand pink too faint for text

Her pink reads at 1.56:1 contrast, so it stays decorative. For links and buttons we derived a deeper pink, #95506F, that passes 4.5:1 on the light page and on the sage and blush section bands.

  3. Copy that promises only what she offers

We checked membership perks, the referral offer and every service name against her real menu and what Vagaro can do. Vagaro can only discount the new client, so the referral copy describes exactly that, and services carry the names she actually uses, like hydrodermabrasion.

  4. Tracking that only looks finished

Publishing the Tag Manager container and verifying Search Console could not be automated, so we tested the whole chain by hand: a real booking click had to appear in GA4 before we called analytics done.

Results

The Results So Far

Seven days after launch, our first SEO audit of the live site scored it 75 out of 100 across all 20 pages. Same-day fixes took it to 96, with no critical issues and every lead capture check passing.

The site is new, so there are no booking or traffic trends to report yet. What we watch now: Vagaro booking clicks, calls, emails and form leads in GA4, and whether her Phoenix treatment pages climb in search. The 30-day re-audit uses the same scoring, so the numbers stay comparable.

The score comes from our 100-point WES SEO audit, measured by a fresh crawl of all 20 live URLs before and after the fixes on October 9, 2026; timing comes from the kickoff notes and launch records.
