About Roselli & McNelis

Roselli & McNelis handles personal injury cases from car accidents and medical malpractice to wrongful death, across 21 practice areas. The firm works from offices in Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale and represents injured clients throughout Florida, Texas and the United States. With that much to explain, someone searching after an injury needs to find the right page fast and reach the firm in one tap. That is the job law firm website design has to do here.

The challenge

Why They Came to Us

The firm's WordPress site, hosted at BlueHost, carried duplicate and leftover pages, and its large body of content needed a clearer structure.

  • Duplicate pages split the same content across two addresses, such as /contact/ and /contact-us/, /notable-cases/ and /notable-cases-2/, and /attorneys-fees/ and /attorneys-fees-2/.
  • Leftover WordPress pages such as /apps/ and /links/ were still reachable.
  • There was a lot to organize: 21 practice areas, 35 supporting sub-pages, two offices and the cities the firm serves.
The plan

What We Proposed

Our plan was to rebuild the firm's site as a modern static site with professional design, full content and search engine optimization built in.

  • Mega menus for About, Practice Areas and Resources, plus a full-screen mobile menu with a sticky call and free case review bar.
  • A page for every practice area and supporting topic, a city page for each area served, legal information pages and a blog system.
  • Attorney and LegalService schema for both offices, and permanent redirects for duplicate and leftover WordPress URLs.
The build

What We Built

Website

A 167-page site built from shared templates, so every page stays consistent.

  • 21 practice-area pages and 35 supporting sub-pages, grouped in mega menus by kind of case
  • An Areas We Serve hub with 33 city pages, plus Map & Directions for both offices
  • 11 firm pages, 3 attorney bios, 8 legal information pages and a news hub with 48 articles, category filters and search
  • A full-screen accordion menu on mobile with a sticky call and free case review bar
  • My AI Editor on every page, which the firm has used to update attorney bios and the homepage

Case review intake

A multi-step free case review form on the homepage and the Contact page.

  • Submissions go into the WES lead pipeline, protected by reCAPTCHA v3, a hidden honeypot field and a bot-speed check
  • Three short steps: what happened, how the person is doing and how to reach them, with a call-us fallback if a submission ever fails
  • New case review alerts arrive from the firm's own email domain

Search, privacy and security foundation

The technical groundwork finished before launch.

  • Attorney, LegalService, BlogPosting, FAQPage and BreadcrumbList schema, with both offices listed
  • 12 permanent redirects for duplicate and leftover WordPress URLs
  • GA4 and Google Tag Manager with a cookie consent banner (Accept All or Reject All) and a privacy policy page
  • Security headers that force secure connections (HSTS) and limit browser permissions

Image rebuild

An October 2026 pass that replaced the site's stock imagery under a written image rulebook.

  • Audited all 140 image files and kept the firm's 17 original photos of its attorneys, office and events
  • Replaced the stock imagery with 41 images made for the site, each with its source details saved inside the file
  • Rewrote 83 alt attributes to describe what each image actually shows
  • Removed 110 unused files, leaving zero broken image references across the site
Problem solving

How We Solved the Hard Parts

  1. A lot of practice areas to organize

We grouped 21 practice areas and 35 supporting sub-pages into mega menus by kind of case, and generated the city, legal information and article pages from shared templates so all 167 pages stay consistent.

  2. Duplicate and leftover WordPress pages

12 permanent redirects fold duplicates like /contact/ and /notable-cases/ into the page that survives, and send leftover pages like /apps/ and /links/ to the homepage.

  3. Claims that must be worded exactly

Attorney advertising is regulated, so we applied the firm's own wording rules on every page, such as using Board-Certified only for the attorneys who hold that certification, and updated the service-area language to include Texas.

  4. Images that hold up under dark overlays

Interior heroes sit under a heavy navy gradient and article heroes show at 25% opacity, so busy pictures turn to mud. Our written image rulebook requires one clear subject with no text or logos, and it bans identifiable faces so no image can be mistaken for a real client.

Results

The Results So Far

The new site went live on April 20, 2026, 27 days after the first preview went up, and the firm has used My AI Editor to update attorney bios and the homepage since. In October we rebuilt the image library under a written rulebook, which left zero broken image references across the site.

We do not have traffic or lead numbers to share yet, so this story is about the build. Next we are watching free case review requests and how the practice and city pages show up in search.

Page counts come from the live sitemap and the site files, checked against the live site on October 20, 2026, and days to launch run from the first preview deploy (March 24, 2026) to launch (April 20, 2026).

Questions

Questions About This Project

How many pages does a personal injury law firm website need?

It depends on the firm's practice areas and service area. Roselli & McNelis has 167 live pages, including 21 practice areas, 35 supporting sub-pages, 33 city pages, 8 legal information pages and 48 articles.

What happens to old links when a law firm leaves WordPress?

We map them. On this site, 12 permanent redirects send duplicate and leftover WordPress addresses, like /contact/ and /apps/, to the page that replaced them or to the homepage.

Can the firm edit its own website?

Yes. Every page has My AI Editor built in, and the firm has used it to update attorney bios and the homepage.
