Home theater, AV and smart home installation | Clearwater, FL

Entertainment Pros: a new site that kept all 147 old URLs working

Entertainment Pros has installed home theaters, surround sound, lighting control and smart home systems across Pinellas County since 2006. In this home service website design project, we moved six years of their pages and posts off Duda at the same addresses, built a lead portal and a Content Studio, and now manage their Google Ads.

About Entertainment Pros

Entertainment Pros is a licensed and insured audio-video company in Clearwater, Florida, serving Pinellas County since 2006. They design and install home theaters, surround sound, TV mounts, Lutron lighting control, landscape lighting, motorized shades and home automation for homes and light commercial spaces. Owner Chip Tollefson served as a Marine Corps avionics specialist on F/A-18s from 1989 to 2005. Like most home service website design work, the site has one job: turn a homeowner's question into a booked consultation.

The challenge

Why They Came to Us

The old Duda site ranked well and held six years of blog posts, so the job was to modernize it without losing any of that. Moving it also exposed problems the old setup had been hiding.

  • 120 blog posts from 2020 to 2026, 93 of them with video, and Duda's blog feed leaves the videos out, so copying posts from the feed would lose them.
  • Tag Manager, GA4 and the Google Ads conversions were built into Duda's platform, so they would vanish in any move.
  • The Google Ads lead conversion counted visits to a Duda thank-you page, so it would stop counting once the forms changed.
  • Duda's export handed over photos as huge lossless files, one of them 6.1MB, about 110MB of images in all.
The plan

What We Proposed

We proposed a fast static site in EP's own colors and flame logo that keeps every URL Google knew and every post, with better ways for homeowners to start a project.

  • Keep the logo, the brand colors and every URL Google already knew, and move the full blog archive with its videos.
  • Replace the generic free quote request with a 60-second project wizard, plus surround sound and AV budget calculators.
  • An SEO plan from launch day: structured data and the street address on every page first, then lighter images, FAQ markup and title tuning.
  • After launch, follow a growth plan from audits every two weeks: tighter negative keywords for ads, blocking bot traffic and a lead source on every form.
The build

What We Built

Website

A fast static site rebuilt from the Duda original, with the same URLs, EP's own install photos and new lead tools.

  • 146 pages at launch, including 14 service pages, the full blog archive and 3 calculators, and 153 public pages today.
  • Lead tools that post straight to the admin portal: the 60-second project wizard, TV size, surround sound and AV budget calculators, a seven-step TV mount planner and a listening room planner.
  • Forms show a thank-you only when the server accepts the lead, fall back after 8 seconds if reCAPTCHA stalls, and show the phone number if a send fails.
  • Images cut from about 110MB to about 47MB, and the home page hero from 2.2MB to 220KB at the same dimensions.
  • Structured data on every page type, FAQ markup on 8 pages, the street address in every footer, an llms.txt for AI assistants, and every page editable in My AI Editor.

Admin portal

A private back office in EP's near-black and fire orange where every lead lands, sorted by type.

  • Project Requests holds wizard submissions, lighting consults and listening room plans, with service filters and ASAP requests highlighted.
  • Calculators lists each TV size, AV budget and TV mount planner lead next to its key result, such as the recommended screen size or budget estimate.
  • An unread inbox, a leads pipeline and a Spam and Blocked tab that shows every rejected submission.
  • Every new lead is also emailed to the EP team and to us.
  • It was the reference build for the spam review tools and unread inbox we rolled out to all 16 WES admin portals.

Content Studio

A marketing portal for EP's plan, posts and photos, with a strategy built from real search data and real leads.

  • Six content pillars drawn from GA4 landing pages and real Google Ads search terms, such as Fix What You Already Own and TV Mounting Done Right.
  • The insight behind the plan: the posts that brought in search visitors were troubleshooting, how-to and comparison pieces, and 3 of 4 real leads one month came from owners whose gear had stopped working.
  • A library of 294 real photos from EP's jobs and website.
  • Blog posts publish straight into the site, Facebook and Instagram posts publish automatically, and EP's Google Business Profile post on October 18, 2026 was the first to go live from any WES studio.
  • Email copy is drafted in the studio and sent from EP's own HubSpot account.

Google Ads and reporting

Ongoing management of EP's Performance Max and Search campaigns, checked against industry benchmarks every two weeks.

  • Conversion tracking cleaned up so bidding counts only form submits, phone taps and calls from ads, with nothing counted twice.
  • Negative keywords grown from 101 to 147, checked against 90 days of converting searches so none of them blocks a real lead.
  • Search moved to a Maximize Conversions bid strategy, and the 3 ad landing pages got a clear call to action at the top.
  • Four benchmarked audits covering GA4, Ads, the leads table and the Google Business Profile, with Search Console added in September.
  • A Friday email that sends the EP team the week's leads and ad numbers automatically.
Problem solving

How We Solved the Hard Parts

  1. Six years of SEO on the line

We matched the old Duda addresses character for character, with www as the main address. All 147 URLs in the old sitemap still work, and only 3 redirects were needed.

  2. Videos hidden by Duda's blog feed

Duda's feed cuts posts short, so copying posts from the feed misses the videos inside them. We matched 36 videos by their old Duda file names and found 22 more on YouTube, then put each one back where it sat in the original post. All 58 are restored, with zero re-uploads.

  3. Tracking that doesn't survive a move

Duda kept Tag Manager and GA4 inside its own template, and the Ads lead conversion counted visits to a Duda thank-you page. We reinstalled tracking on every page on launch day and re-wired the conversion to fire only when the server accepts a lead.

  4. Bots hiding the real numbers

77% of sessions were bots, which made the site look like it barely converted. A firewall rule at the edge now challenges them while letting Google, Bing, Apple and Google's ad checker through, so ads stay approved. We left AI crawlers open on purpose, since visitors sent by AI assistants were turning into leads.

  5. Which leads came from ads?

Until mid-September, leads arrived with no source, so ads and search looked the same. We added source tracking, including Google's click IDs, to every page and form, and the next 6 of 6 leads came in tagged. It later showed that a general contractor's invitation to bid on a luxury new build came from the Search campaign.

Results

The Results So Far

The new site launched on July 17, 2026 at the same URLs, and our launch-day SEO pass took its WES SEO audit score from 55 to 80. Since mid-September every lead arrives tagged with its source, so ad spend is judged on real leads. In the 14 days to October 9, Google Ads cost $32.35 per lead against a $90.92 benchmark for home improvement.

What we watch next: how the Search campaign settles on its new bid strategy, and how the studio's troubleshooting and how-to posts perform with owners who need help with gear they already have.

Ads figures come from Google Ads and our biweekly audits, lead source from the leads table behind the admin portal, and the score from our 100-point WES SEO audit, run on the rebuilt site before and after the launch-day fixes.

Questions

Questions About This Project

Did Entertainment Pros keep its old URLs when it left Duda?

Yes. We matched the old addresses exactly, so all 147 URLs in the old Duda sitemap still work, with only 3 redirects needed. The full six-year blog archive came over too, videos included.

Can the Entertainment Pros team update the site themselves?

Yes. Every page is wired for My AI Editor, so they can make changes by typing what they want. When the owner writes his own article series, we style it but never change his words, and a check confirms the text matches his approved copy before it goes live.

Where do Entertainment Pros leads go?

Every form, calculator and planner posts to EP's admin portal, sorted into project requests, calculator leads and a pipeline, and an email alert goes out right away. Since mid-September 2026 each lead also carries its source, so the team can see which ones came from ads.
