Pee-Pa's Garage: two Duda sites rebuilt, one admin portal for both

Pee-Pa's Garage is a family-run craft brewery, distillery, grill and axe-throwing venue in Pinellas Park, Florida. In this brewery website design project, we moved both of its Duda sites to new static builds and gave the team one admin portal for inquiries, waivers and the events calendar.

About Pee-Pa's Garage

Founder Jim Brown built Pee-Pa's Garage inside his former collision shop, North St. Pete Collision, and its tagline is Georgia Inspired, Florida Brewed. Today it pours house beer, runs a new distillery and the Wood Shed Grill, hosts weekly events, weddings and private parties, and operates the Hatchet Barn, an axe-throwing venue with WATL league play. With that much going on, brewery website design gets tricky: every offer needs its own clear path to a visit, a booking or an inquiry.

The challenge

Why They Came to Us

Both businesses ran on Duda, and the brewery site no longer matched what Pee-Pa's had become.

  • The brewery site still sold a Mug Club that the business was retiring.
  • The new distillery and weddings had no pages of their own.
  • Dead pages lingered: a car and bike consignment showroom with two consignment forms, a guest book, a coming-soon page and a 2022 Jeep contest.
  • One owner runs both businesses, so inquiries, waivers and event updates from two websites needed one home.
The plan

What We Proposed

We proposed moving both sites off Duda to fast static builds that publish with every change, redirecting retired brewery links and adding the pages the business actually needed.

  • Point 19 old Duda URLs at the right pages on the new site with permanent redirects.
  • Replace the Mug Club site-wide with a new lifetime membership, which became the Founders Club.
  • Write new Distillery and Weddings pages in the owner's voice for his sign-off, and give axe throwing its own standalone Hatchet Barn site.
  • Send every form into the WES lead pipeline, keep the existing Google Tag Manager container, and add search markup, social sharing previews, a sitemap and self-hosted fonts.
The build

What We Built

Brewery website

A 19-page site for the beer, the distillery, the Wood Shed Grill, events and private bookings.

  • New Distillery, Weddings, Catering, Team Building, Founders Club, Makers Market and Barnyard Brawl pages
  • Founders Club sign-and-pay flow: typed e-signatures (a second one for couples), a club rules step, the signed application saved for the owner, then Stripe checkout and a welcome page
  • Events page fed by a calendar the team edits in the admin portal, with weekly regulars, one-off events and a monthly view
  • Google reviews refreshed automatically every Monday, a live Untappd tap list, and a gallery built from 60 photos saved from the old site
  • 7 forms, from event, wedding and catering inquiries to Founders Club and Makers Market vendor applications

Hatchet Barn website

A standalone axe-throwing site with lane booking, league information and a digital waiver.

  • The venue's full Release of Liability, rebuilt from its legal PDF as an online waiver, with Sign the Waiver next to Book Now in the menu and hero
  • Peek booking links, a live tap list, the Flingin' Friday special and an arcade section
  • A WATL league page answering 7 common league questions, marked up as an FAQ for search engines
  • News posts, including the story of nine throwers from its lanes who qualified for the World Axe and Knife Throwing Championships
  • 4 forms (contact, group events, waiver and newsletter), with analytics shared with the brewery so both sites report together

Admin portal

One private login for the leads, waivers and applications both websites collect.

  • One inbox for leads from both sites, each tagged with a source badge
  • Tabs for the leads pipeline, group events, signed waivers and Makers Market vendor applications
  • An events manager that updates the public events page on the brewery site
  • Spam and blocked review, an unread-only view, user management and password resets, with every time shown in Eastern time

SEO audits

Our first SEO audits of both sites, with the fixes shipped as part of each audit.

  • Brewery: 9 fixes across 22 pages and 0 critical issues left, for a WES SEO audit score of 84 to 94
  • Hatchet Barn: 26 fixes across 13 pages and 0 critical issues left, for a WES SEO audit score of 58 to 80.5
  • Trivia Night, live music and the first-Sunday Makers Market marked up as recurring events for Google
  • Get Directions taps counted as a key event in Google Analytics
Problem solving

How We Solved the Hard Parts

  1. Selling a lifetime membership online

We replaced the in-person application with one online flow. Members sign by typing their name (couples sign twice) and accept the club rules, the signed application is saved for the owner, and then they pay through Stripe.

  2. Two businesses, one inbox

We built the admin portal to read leads from both websites at once and tag each one with its source, so the team works one list instead of checking two.

  3. Events that change every week

The brewery's events page reads from a calendar the team edits in the admin portal, seeded with the 7 recurring events from the old Duda calendar. If the live calendar cannot load, the page still shows its built-in list of weekly regulars.

  4. A liability waiver stuck in a PDF

We rebuilt the venue's Release of Liability as an online waiver, put Sign the Waiver next to Book Now, and file every signed waiver in its own tab in the admin portal.

  5. Old brewery links with nowhere to go

19 retired brewery URLs, from the Mug Club pages to old event posts, now forward to a matching new page or the homepage with permanent redirects, each one checked on the live site.

Results

The Results So Far

Both sites have been live since late June 2026. One portal now holds inquiries from both sites, signed waivers, the events calendar and Makers Market vendor applications, and the team updates the brewery site themselves in My AI Editor. In September they added 17 photos to its gallery on their own.

In our first SEO audits at the end of August, the brewery site went from a WES SEO audit score of 84 to 94 and the Hatchet Barn from 58 to 80.5, with 0 critical issues left on either. We do not have traffic or booking numbers to share yet, so next we are watching event inquiries, Founders Club sign-ups and lane bookings.

WES SEO audit scores come from our house scoring rubric, before and after each audit's fixes (brewery August 26, 2026, Hatchet Barn August 31, 2026), and the redirects were checked on the live site on October 20, 2026.

Questions

Questions About This Project

Can a brewery sell memberships on its own website?

Yes. Pee-Pa's Founders Club runs as one online flow: members sign by typing their name, accept the club rules, then pay through Stripe, and the owner gets the signed application.

Can two businesses share one admin portal?

Yes. One Pee-Pa's login covers both the brewery and the Hatchet Barn. Leads from both sites land in one inbox with a source badge, next to waivers, events and vendor applications.

Can the team update the website themselves?

Yes. Every page on both sites has My AI Editor built in. Since launch, the team has swapped photos, added 17 gallery photos and edited event copy on the brewery site on their own.
